The Benedict Center provides services and support to women in the criminal justice system so they can live safer, healthier lives for themselves, their children and the community we all share. Our services include community-based substance abuse and mental health treatment, important education and essential support through a variety of programs.
COVID-19 IMPORTANT NOTE: The situation around COVID-19 is changing frequently, but our clients need our services more than ever. The Benedict Center team has suspended face-to-face services and transitioned to telehealth support for clients via email and phone. The Sisters Program South continues to provide essential support to women through modified on-site services and street outreach.
We help justice-involved women address issues that impact them every day so they can grow and heal for long-term stability. Our results-oriented program involves compassionate treatment for substance abuse and trauma, as well as practical skills such as parenting and employment preparation. Learn more. A street outreach, case management and skill building program for women in street-based sex trade and/or sex trafficking. This program is an innovative community/police partnership and is recognized as a highly effective way to improve the health and safety of women and surrounding communities. Learn more.
Nationally recognized, the Benedict Center advocates for the use of best practice and cost-effective policies to ensure fair treatment for women involved in the justice system. Our current advocacy focus is the creation of a citywide diversion policy and services for women in street-based sex trade. Learn more.
